    Intertribal Treatment Center Policies and Procedures

                                 
Introduction

 This Policy and Procedure Manual is developed to provide operating guidelines for the Nebraska
Urban Indian Health Coalition Inc.  The guidelines presented in this manual will serve as the
 operating instructions for the normal operations of Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition Intertribal
Treatment Center Program, except as modified by regulations from funding agency regulations,
 or the Board of Directors for Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, Inc.  The Board of
 Directors of NUIHCI has delegated responsibility for the implementation of the policies and
 procedures outlined in this manual. All employees of NUIHC are expected to familiarize themselves
 with the contents of this manual and to govern their conduct in accordance with the policies
 and procedures stated.

Implementation Statement 

This section will describe in detail the internal methods used to check, evaluate and report on the
 progress and achievement of the Objectives.  These internal controls will Be described
in detail demonstrating their uses, personnel responsible for implementing and checking the results,
and time frames for checking.  In addition, the types of reporting requirements will be discussed.   

The main areas of implementation which are used in this section are:

·        Personnel Management

·        Client Rights

·        Client Records

·        Confidentiality 

Sections 2, 3, and 4 are taken directly from the current Policy and Procedure Manual which have
been approved by the Board of Directors of the Coalition and by the IHS Behavioral Health Division. 
The procedures described in those sections are the guidelines under which the Center currently
 functions. In addition to the above mentioned sections, reporting requirements will also be discussed.
