Personnel Management Policies and Procedures for InterTribal Treatment
Center
were originally adopted by the Board
of Directors on August 6, 1990 and were
modified, revised, and updated in
January 2004. These policies have been developed
to provide operating guidelines for
personnel management/staff ( see Attachment #
6). In essence, they have
been designed to promote and increase an effective, efficient,
and economically sound organization
for the primary benefit of the clients and
communities which they serve. They
also provide fair and equal opportunity to all
qualified individuals to enter InterTribal employment on the basis of
demonstrated
merit physical method of selection
free of personal and political considerations. This
does not preclude Indian
Preference. They also maintain a program of recruitment,
advancement and tenure which will
make InterTribal attractive as a career and en-
courage each employee to render
his/her best performance to InterTribal; maintain a
uniform plan of evaluation and pay
based upon the relative duties and responsibilities
of position in InterTribal. They
promote and maintain high morale among Inter-
Tribal employees by providing good
working relationships, uniform personnel
policies, opportunity for
advancement and consideration for employee welfare.
InterTribal also maintains an
Affirmative Action Plan. (See Attachment # 7 )
