         Intertribal Treatment Center Policies and Procedures
                    
             
Grievance Procedure   

 

     A.    Grievances may be brought to the attention of the Program Director verbally or in writing.  The grievance
   must be signed. 

    B.    The Program Director will respond within three working days. 

   C.    If the client is not satisfied with the response given, he or she may request a meeting with the Executive
Director of the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, Inc.  This meeting will be scheduled within 5 working days.                           

 

   D.  If the grievance is against a staff member, that staff member has the right to be present when the grievance is read.

               

   E.  If the client is still unsatisfied with the response of  the Executive Director, he or she may contact the Aberdeen
Area Indian Health Service at 605-226-7338 or the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services
at 402-595-2850.  A grievance must be filed with sixty (60) days of the occurrence of the incident to utilize
the above channels.
