Administrative and
Management Data
The overall
organizations chart of the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition,
Incorporated show the lines of
authority emanating from the Board of Directors to the Executive Director.
The Executive Director of the Coalition
is responsible for four (4) separate health care programs in three
cities. InterTribal is one of the programs.
The Executive Director has an office at the
Center and devotes ten percent (10%) of her time in direct
supervision of InterTribal functions and is the immediate supervisor of the
Program Coordinator and the Clinical Supervisor.
The Program Coordinator has overall
management responsibility for the program and directly supervises the
InterTribal Center staff.
Financial capability to
perform the scope of the work
Each
member organization of the Coalition has demonstrated their own individual
financial capability to perform
their respective agency responsibilities within their communities. Each
had had audits performed which
clearly indicated financial viability. As far as InterTribal and the
Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition, Inc.
is concerned, the capability to perform the stated Scope of Work should be
of little consequence. The Coalition has
made progressive strides in its short period of existence in several areas,
which include fiscal.
The
Coalition has centralized the accounting systems for all programs at the
Coalition headquarters in
Omaha, Nebraska. A bookkeeper, stationed at the Omaha office provides all
accounting services for the
Coalition programs under the direct supervision of the fiscal office of
the Lincoln Indian Center. The centralization
of the fiscal office has also served to streamline the transfer of funds to
one central location and has improved the
service of all programs.
Capability
to meet delivery of required performance schedules
InterTribal is currently staffed to
meet delivery of required performance schedules. The Program and
Treatment Coordinators have spent the past two years developing a nationally
recognized modality of recovery
for the Native American. They have trained staff, obtained a more
adequately suited facility, and, in simple
terms, created an entire, operable system from virtually bottom up.
Obviously, this has been no small task. Having few supplies, little
equipment and untrained staff; along with needing
to overcome the perverse community image left by the preceding center,
from those less than ideal circumstance,
with help and encouragement from Coalition Board members, the Executive
Director and utilizing Aberdeen
Area expertise, the center is now licensed by the State of Nebraska as both
an alcohol and drug inpatient/outpatient
care facility with State of Nebraska Alcohol/Drug Division Certification
pending. The staff is second to none.
Progress is contingent upon growth. With growth comes change and
improvement. All systems can be improved.
The past performance of the current InterTribal staff in conjunction with
the expertise of Board of Directors,
surely prove the capabilities required to continue to provide quality
services to Indian clients of the Aberdeen
Area and shows the dedication required to continually grow and improve.
