status of Native Americans to the highest level possible, as well as to
serve persons currently underserved in our community. Quality Assurance and
Quality Improvement is an essential component of all medical clinic
operations. Nebraska Urban Indian Medical Center is an organization

practice, encompassing
provider and
nursing activities, which are directed toward health problems of various
levels of complexity.
3. Annually,
10% of the average number of patients seen monthly will be requested to
complete a Patient
Satisfaction Survey. If the patient

the patient, and assist the patient
in completion of the survey.
4. Evaluation
of patient care will be based on observable response of patients and patient
records.
5. Results
of the Patient Satisfaction Survey will assist the staff in making changes,
which will result in improved
and/or additional services being
provided.
6. Surveys
will take place within the last quarter of the current calendar year.
7.
The Clinic Manager will forward the
completed compilation of the surveys to the Executive Director no later than
the end of the first month of the
calendar year.
8. The
Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors at the next
scheduled meeting.
9. Additional
quality improvement activities include annual patient chart audits.

medical care on all patients.
