Elders Program
The NUIHC “Tired Moccasins” program is for Native Elders 60 years of age and older. The program provides special cultural, physical and social activities, a nutritional meal program, and health education, plus socialization, recreational and educational opportunities three days a week; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
NUIHC also provides transportation for Native Americans who participate in the elders’ program as well as medical/dental-related appointments in the three service areas but have no other means of transport.

Group outings and health and social activities are scheduled on a regular basis. Activities include vegetable picking, berry picking, bead and sew group, and an exercise and nutrition program. For more information about activities please call the Elder Program.
